The concept of chakra is ingrained in ancient Indian scriptures draped under themes such as Tattvas, Nadis, Kundalini, Sarira Traya, etc. In order to mine a comprehensive model of chakra, critical analysis and distillation from the ancient scriptures and literature is made in this paper. Through the model, the author wishes to provide a basis for tool development to measure the functioning of chakras. Moreover, to aid therapists in designing a standardised alternative therapeutic technique which is holistic in nature.
