I am a qualified and accredited CBT therapist and also a fully qualified EMDR therapist with a background of mental health nursing. I have over 15 years experience of working with people with mental health difficulties in a variety of settings, however my passion has always been working with those struggling with depression, anxiety and symptoms of trauma. I have a special interest in self-compassion and this is strongly influences the therapy I deliver.

 

I am accredited with BABCP and I am a member of the EMDR Association

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.
