Counselor and Therapist

(MBACP)

I am a MBACP Integrative Counsellor with a Foundation Degree in Counselling and I have experience supporting people through a wide range of personal and emotional challenges. I believe that therapy begins with feeling safe, heard and genuinely understood, and I aim to provide a calm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is happening in your life at your own pace.

My experience includes working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, identity concerns and life transitions. I am particularly interested in supporting people who feel disconnected from themselves, stuck in their lives, or uncertain about their direction, as well as those who may be experiencing the longer-term impact of difficult or painful past experiences.

My therapeutic foundation is Person-Centred, placing you and your individual experience at the heart of our work. As an integrative counsellor, I can also draw upon approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy and Transactional Analysis, where appropriate. This allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Alongside my core training, I have undertaken further professional development in anxiety, addiction, body awareness, trauma, sexual abuse, and grief and loss. I also have considerable experience mentoring people through challenging periods in their lives.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate. I have worked as a counsellor with Apsley Clinic and HELP Counselling Services in the UK, gaining experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.

I offer online counselling sessions using Google Meet, providing a convenient and confidential way to access therapy from the comfort of your own space.

I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting. My aim is to work collaboratively with you, helping you make sense of what you are experiencing, develop greater self-understanding and, where possible, find a clearer and more fulfilling way forward.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
