THERAPY FOR THE GLOBAL SELF: NAVIGATING IDENTITY, HERITAGE, AND CHANGE.
In my 10+ years of practice, I’ve found that the most profound healing happens when you don't have to 'translate' your life to be understood. Whether you are navigating the heavy layers of grief, the exhaustion of burnout, or the complex impact of trauma, I provide a space where your heritage, family dynamics, and global journey are respected as the foundation of your story.
As a Muslim revert with a deep respect for all faith traditions and those with none, I bring a personal understanding of what it means to live 'between worlds.' My journey is shaped by a conscious search for meaning, dual-heritage family dynamics, and the experience of being British-born and living and working in the Middle East. I understand the unique pressures of raising children across cultures, the 'shape-shifting' required of expats, and the complex tug-of-war between community expectations and personal identity. I offer a trauma-informed, culturally fluent space where you can explore these intersections safely.
This lived experience is supported by senior-level clinical depth. As a BACP Accredited therapist with a Postgraduate Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy and BSc Psychology, I have spent a decade in lead positions guiding complex mental health needs. I bridge this leadership insight with a gentle, relational approach, using tools like Gestalt to focus on the 'here-and-now' and EFT to help ground your nervous system when life feels overwhelming.
Healing begins when you no longer have to 'edit' your identity. If you are looking for a therapist who understands the richness and the challenges of a multicultural life, I warmly invite you to reach out for a free consultation.
