Psychologist and Psychotherapist

(MSc)

Hello! I’m Kruno, and I specialize in supporting people who, like myself, have made the world their home. Living abroad is a brave and exciting journey, but it also brings unique emotional challenges that others might not fully understand. My path has been a bit different—I spent years in IT and the aviation industry, visiting over 100 countries, before finding my true calling in psychotherapy. This means I don't just see you as a "case"; I truly understand the reality of your fast-paced, international lifestyle and the quiet moments of isolation that can come with it. With an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and a BSc (Hons) from the University of Derby, my goal is to provide a safe, warm space where you can finally feel understood.

Specialties / Areas of Focus

I am here to walk with you through the specific hurdles of international living, including:

Finding Your Place (Expat Adjustment): Healing the sense of "not belonging" and the loneliness that often follows a big move.

Healing the High-Achiever: Supporting professionals and tech leads who feel overwhelmed by burnout but feel they have to keep it all together.

Relationships Across Borders: Strengthening bonds that are strained by the unique pressures of a global lifestyle.

Calming the Storm (Anxiety & Panic): Finding peace when the uncertainty of living in an unfamiliar environment becomes too much.

Listening to Your Body: Helping you resolve physical symptoms like chronic pain or tension that are often the body’s way of speaking its hidden stress.

Therapeutic Approach

Our work together will be an active, kind, and focused partnership. I primarily use Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which is a powerful way to get to the heart of what’s holding you back, quickly and effectively. I know your time is valuable, so we don't just "chat"—we work deeply to create real change. My approach is always:

Deeply Human: I value our relationship above all else, ensuring you feel supported and never judged.

Integrated for You: I blend the structure of CBT with the depth of Attachment Theory to fit your unique story.

Culturally Aware: I understand the nuance of being an expat, so you won’t have to spend your sessions explaining the basics of your lifestyle.

I believe there is a vital, healthy part of you waiting to emerge. Together, we can gently dismantle the internal blocks that limit your happiness, helping you feel truly "at home" within yourself, no matter where in the world you are.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
