Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Therapist

(MBACP)

I am a compassionate and committed Counsellor and Coach, experienced in supporting adults with a variety of emotional, relational, and mental health presentations. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in a holistic, whole-person approach, drawing on somatic and embodied practices that emphasise the vital connection between mind and body. I believe that meaningful, sustainable change develops through self-awareness, mindfulness, connection, self-regulation, balance, and self-acceptance.

With training and experience in a broad range of therapeutic models—including Humanistic/Person-Centred therapy, Existential therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Transactional Analysis—I adapt my work to suit the unique needs of each individual. My integrative style allows me to honour each client’s personal narrative while supporting them in building emotional insight, resilience, and direction. My background in complementary therapies further enhances my holistic perspective.

Clients working with me experience a counselling relationship founded on empathy, congruence, flexibility, friendliness, positivity, professionalism, reliability, respect, and warmth. I create a safe, grounded, and non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours at their own pace.

I support a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, difficulties with emotional regulation, and self-destructive patterns. My sessions often integrate gentle somatic and mindfulness-based techniques such as grounding practices, breath awareness, and reflective tools that clients can use between sessions to support autonomy and ongoing wellbeing.

As a coach, I also offer forward-focused support where appropriate. This may include helping clients strengthen boundaries, build confidence, develop healthier habits, improve communication, clarify personal or professional goals, and navigate periods of change. My coaching work complements my therapeutic approach, offering clients both emotional depth and practical direction.

My core aim is to help clients achieve meaningful personal growth, improved emotional balance, and a deeper sense of self-understanding. I support individuals in developing effective self-regulation strategies, recognising unhelpful patterns, and fostering healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

In my coaching capacity, I also work to empower clients to move toward greater fulfilment and purpose. This can involve working through self-doubt, identifying strengths, cultivating resilience, and developing clear, values-aligned steps toward change.

Ultimately, I strive to help clients live more authentic, grounded, and empowered lives. Through my integrative therapeutic and coaching approach, I provide a flexible, compassionate, and effective freelance counselling service that meets clients wherever they are and supports them in moving gently and confidently forward.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
