Counselor and Therapist

Counselor and Therapist
ABOUT ME
I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (Royal Holloway, University of London) and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB, Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Academy). I also have a PGDip in Marketing. I am constantly evolving my skills by undertaking more training; I am currently working towards a Diploma in CBT.
I offer a warm, safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel empowered to explore their inner world, uncover solutions, and grow in self-awareness. I believe that the answers lie within us all, and the therapeutic journey helps to illuminate the path towards healing and transformation.
I have several years experience working in the voluntary sector, supporting people recovering from severe mental health challenges, along with their families and carers. During that time my work involved offering in-person guidance, facilitating support groups, and providing support and advice over the phone, helping people navigate difficult times with care and understanding.
I have also worked for a number of years with children and young people’s charities. This work deepened my understanding of advocacy and support, particularly around early childhood development, youth participation, parenting, and special educational needs and disabilities.
Overall I have worked with a diverse range of clients in areas such as mental health, parenting, caregiving, special education needs and disabilities, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, shame, domestic abuse, low confidence, low self-esteem, relationship issues, work related issues, suicidal ideation, trauma, bereavement, loneliness, stuckness.
These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges people face and the resilience they can cultivate.
PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
I work with adults in the UK and internationally, offering one-to-one online and in-person therapy in Hackney in both English and Greek. My approach is flexible and accessible, tailored to suit individual needs and circumstances.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy. This allows me to adapt my client-led, non-directive approach to best support each person’s unique journey.
My practice follows the Petruska Clarkson 5 relational integration framework, which places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the healing process. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is fundamental to achieving meaningful change. Every client is unique and an expert in their own life experiences. My role is to listen to you and offer you a confidential space to process your emotions and experiences, helping you make sense of them and collaboratively helping you move forward in whatever direction feels right for you.
MY FIRST SESSION
The first session will be partly an introductory session and partly an assessment session. It will last 50 minutes and will be charged at the usual rate.
This session will be an opportunity for me to find out more about you, your goals and expectations, and whether I can help. It will also be an opportunity for you to get a sense of me, ask any questions you may have, and decide whether this feels right for you.
