LOUISE

Counselor

Hi I'm Louise

I am a fully Qualified Counsellor, an accredited registered member of the NCPS, and a registered member of the BACP. I currently offer a remote counselling service via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Life can feel overwhelming at times and we can feel stuck and unable to move forward, whether you are suffering from grief or loss, depression, PTSD, anxiety, issues with self-worth, or if you are struggling with life generally. My training and experience will help you find ways to manage and work through these issues. I offer a safe and confidential online space to support you in working through these issues.

I feel we all have the answers to our problems within us, but sometimes we cannot see clearly. I can support you to explore these issues or make the changes in your life you may wish to make.

I am an Integrative Therapist. This means that I draw on several therapeutic modalities to best meet your individual needs. We can regularly review our work together to ensure you are finding it helpful.

Working with Trauma and PTSD

I also offer sessions to Frontline workers, including Paramedics, Police Officers, Firefighters, NHS and Armed Forces. My journey to becoming a Qualified Counsellor is shaped by over 21 years of experience as a HCPC Registered Paramedic. Having worked on the frontline, I truly understand the immense pressures and challenges that come with these roles. Trauma and PTSD can affect peoples lives. For example working opportunities, relationships and health. This may affect how you feel and may vary depending on the situation.

How My Counselling Service Can Support You:

You will feel heard and understood by a professional who is impartial, compassionate, and non-judgmental.

I create a safe space where you can openly explore what's troubling you without fear of criticism.

I offer a confidential service where you will feel supported in an environment where you can make sense of your emotions.

Together, we'll help you develop practical, science-backed strategies to reduce anxiety, calm your mind, and overcome emotional roadblocks. You'll gain the tools to take control of your thoughts, improve your self-worth, and move toward a more peaceful, balanced state of mind.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
