Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist

(MNCPS)

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

I’m a qualified trauma therapist with over a decade of experience supporting people through life’s most difficult challenges. Since qualifying in 2012, I’ve continued to build on my knowledge through professional development, working with both charities and private clients to deepen my understanding and broaden my reach.

I specialise in trauma, PTSD, and suicide awareness, and my approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and respect. Therapy with me is a warm, interactive process. I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing on a blend of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches to support your journey.

It takes courage to seek support. If you're ready to take the first step toward a more fulfilling, balanced life, I’m here to walk beside you.

Who I Work With

While I have developed a strong reputation for working with First Responders and Veterans in both the UK and US, you don’t have to be either to work with me. I welcome anyone who feels ready to begin therapy.

I’m known for creating a safe, non-judgmental space where people feel genuinely heard. Clients often tell me they feel at ease quickly—this makes all the difference when talking about painful experiences and exploring the changes they want to make.

Specialist Experience

Over the years, I’ve had the honour of working with a range of organisations including:

The RNLI

The Metropolitan Police (Specialist Firearms Operations SCO19)

The National Crime Agency (NCA)

South Yorkshire Police

Merseyside Police (as a counsellor during the 2021 pandemic)

Officers from North Wales, Cheshire Constabulary, and Parliamentary & Diplomatic Protection

I’ve developed and delivered accredited CPD training courses in PTSD and suicide awareness, and I’m a keynote speaker on these topics across national agencies and institutions.

Since 2020, I’ve served as Clinical Lead for Phoenix Heroes CIC, counselling Veterans living with PTSD.

How I Work

I offer sessions in person, via video, or over the phone—whatever feels most comfortable for you.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
