Counseling Psychologist and Psychotherapist
Counseling Psychologist and Psychotherapist
With nearly a decade of immersion in psychology, both as a student and practitioner, holding a master's degree in clinical psychology, my learnings have been a synthesis of my formal education, life experiences, supervision, and insights gleaned from esteemed psychotherapists and their writings that have profoundly influenced my practice.
I've cultivated a profound conviction: within each individual resides the inherent ability to assume responsibility for their lives. Yet, the complexities of life, coupled with personal experiences, often veer us away from this realisation. I firmly believe that while life itself may not be bewildering, certain situations within it can be reframed through a different perspective—a perspective that fosters self-regulation.
Drawing from the humanistic person-centered approach, my goal is to craft a space within which my clients can claim ownership—an environment characterised by a sense of co-created security and trust. I place immense value on forging a robust client-therapist relationship, as it forms the bedrock for further exploration, dialogue, and the challenge of negative emotions and thoughts.
In line with the concept of individuation, I guide clients through the process of becoming psychologically distinct and integrated individuals. This involves fostering self-awareness, self-acceptance, and authenticity, ultimately leading to psychological wholeness and harmony.
While I recognise the paramount importance of attentive listening and empathetic acknowledgment in therapy, I equally understand the necessity of gently confronting and guiding clients towards healing and transformation. My commitment lies in facilitating a journey where you can reclaim agency over your narrative and chart a course towards empowerment and fulfilment.
