Art Therapist, Clinical Psychologist and Therapist
Art Therapist, Clinical Psychologist and Therapist
Avery Rabbitt (she/her or any pronouns) offers holistic, response-able, client-centered care with respect to people’s distinct backgrounds, experiences, and capacities.
If you're suffering from anxiety and/or depression brought on by things outside your control, if the tools you've used to cope with life's challenges and hardships are currently hindering you more than they're helping you, or if you need a support reframing how you see yourself and your part in the world, I'd like to help you unwind those tensions. I offer a a gentle space for clients to release, even if for a moment, the things that demand so much of our energy as we power through our daily lives. Just having that space can empower us to approach life creatively and reconnect to our sense of play.
I try to invite clients to balance their thinking, feeling, and sensory functions in sessions. We may use analysis, play, and more meditative approaches in a session, depending on clients' needs and desires. I use liberatory frameworks like disability activist Petra Kuppers' eco soma and I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.
I offer sliding scale options and want to do my part to make therapy as accessible as it should be. If you'd like to know more about my therapy style and see if it's a good fit for you, please send me a message for a free 30-minute consultation! I'd love to meet you where you are.
