Key Responsibilities:

Provide Remote Counseling: Conduct confidential online sessions for individuals, couples, or families facing challenges such as stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, and career issues.
Utilize Evidence-Based Approaches: Apply established counseling modalities (e.g., Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gottman Method) to help clients develop coping skills and achieve their goals.
Maintain Client Records: Keep accurate, confidential, and timely client notes in accordance with the ethical guidelines and regulations of your UAE licensing body (e.g., CDA, DHA).
Adhere to UAE Regulations: Practice in strict compliance with the professional and ethical standards of the UAE, including all relevant telehealth policies.
Direct Client Management: Handle all aspects of client interaction, including scheduling, providing service information, and managing your professional practice policies.

Essential Requirements:

UAE Professional License: Must hold a current, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Counselor or Psychologist from a recognized UAE authority. This includes licenses from:
- Community Development Authority (CDA) - Dubai
- Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
- Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH)
- Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP)
Education: A Master's Degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related mental health field from a reputable university, meeting the qualification requirements of the relevant licensing body.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification professional counseling experience, as is typically required for licensure in the UAE.
Residency: Must be a current resident of the United Arab Emirates.
Telehealth Competency: Proficiency in using secure video conferencing platforms and adhering to best practices for providing remote mental health services.
Setup: Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a private, professional, and confidential space suitable for conducting counseling sessions.

Desirable Requirements:

Fluency in Arabic or other languages in addition to English.
Certification or specialized training in a particular area, such as couples counseling, mindfulness, or trauma-informed care.
Experience working with the multicultural and expatriate communities within the UAE.

Conditions of Collaboration:

Status: Independent Contractor. You are responsible for your own visa, work permits, and adherence to all UAE laws regarding self-employment and professional practice.
Complete Flexibility: You determine your own work hours and caseload, allowing for a part-time or full-time schedule.
Full Autonomy: Maintain control over your schedule, client interactions, and counseling approach.
Direct Financial Reward: Set your own competitive session fees. Clients pay you directly, and Mentalzon does not charge a commission on your fees.
