Key Responsibilities:

  • Evidence-Based Therapy: Provide expert psychological services, including individual, couples, or family therapy, consistent with your AHPRA registration, areas of endorsement, and professional expertise. Services can be delivered via our secure telehealth system or in your private Perth-based practice.
  • Clinical Assessment & Intervention: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, formulate evidence-based treatment plans, and apply therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Professional Record-Keeping: Maintain precise, confidential, and timely client records in accordance with the standards set by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Code of Ethics, and Australian privacy laws.
  • Ethical & Professional Conduct: Uphold the highest standards of ethical practice as outlined by AHPRA and the APS. Ensure full compliance with all state and federal regulations governing psychological practice and telehealth in Australia.
  • Practice Management: Independently manage all aspects of your client relationships, including scheduling, professional communication, and outlining your practice policies, therapeutic approach, and fee structure.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Registration: Must hold a current, active, and unrestricted general or specialist registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Independent Practice: Your registration must permit you to practice independently without supervision.
  • Location: Currently based in or around Perth, Western Australia, with an established practice or the ability to practice independently.
  • Experience: Proven post-registration experience in providing psychological therapy and assessment.
  • Telehealth Competence: Proficiency in using secure video conferencing platforms for therapeutic purposes and a strong understanding of telehealth best practices and ethical considerations.
  • Insurance & Business: Must maintain current professional indemnity insurance. Holding an active Australian Business Number (ABN) is also required.

    • Strong clinical skills in assessment, formulation, and intervention.
