Your Core Responsibilities

• Flexible Psychology Services (In-Person & Online): Provide expert individual, couples, or family psychological services, tailored to your clinical expertise and licensure. Offer sessions from your private office or via secure, confidential digital platforms.
• Clinical Assessment & Strategy: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, formulate clinical impressions, and develop collaborative, evidence-based therapeutic strategies designed to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
• Professional Record-Keeping: Maintain precise, confidential, and timely client records in full compliance with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) regulations, UAE data protection laws, and the highest ethical standards of the psychology profession.
• Ethical & Legal Adherence: Operate strictly within the professional code of ethics and all applicable regulations set forth by the DoH and other relevant UAE authorities governing mental health practice.
• Client Relationship Management: Professionally manage all client interactions, including scheduling, responding to inquiries, and clearly communicating your therapeutic approach, confidentiality policies, and fee structure.
• Direct Fee Administration: You will establish your own professional rates for your services and manage billing and payments directly with your clients.

Essential Requirements

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counseling, or equivalent) from a recognized, accredited university.
• Licensure:

  Crucially, you must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Psychologist issued by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH).

• Experience: Proven post-licensure experience in providing psychological therapy and assessment.
• Cultural Competency: A deep appreciation for and experience in working with the multicultural and diverse population of Abu Dhabi, including both Emirati citizens and expatriates.
• Digital Practice Proficiency: Competence in using digital tools for practice management (e.g., scheduling systems, secure communication) and, if applicable, telehealth platforms.
• Legal & Ethical Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of DoH policies, UAE federal laws concerning mental healthcare and data privacy, and professional ethics.
• Professional Liability Insurance: Must hold and maintain active professional liability insurance that covers your full scope of practice in the UAE.
