Licensed Master Social Worker, Psychotherapist and Social Worker
Do you ever feel you have lost that inner voice that helps you find your way through life? Are you over-whelmed with family, school or work responsibilities? There is so much chatter going on in the world, it is easy to lose yourself. I can help you find your voice, so that you can focus on what is important to you. Come talk with me so we can get started on your path.
It is easy to become overwhelmed with the world today. Information changes rapidly, we are always connected through our phones and social media and keeping up is a constant pressure. We are all trying to navigate a post-Covid world, getting back out in public, returning to the office or working from home, catching up on all the things we missed. These issues can really rock your world and make it seem like nothing makes sense anymore. I truly believe that although life is different now, you can learn to co-exist with your new reality.
I have extensive medical social work experience primarily with people coping with chronic illness, care-giving, aging, end-of-life issues, meaning-making and grief/loss. Anxiety, time/stress management and coping in an over scheduled world are also areas of expertise developed with college/graduate school students and young adults navigating their twenties.
I focus on working with adults, providing individual therapy using cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused therapy components. Everyone is an individual and we will work together to develop an approach that meets your needs. My counseling style is warm and interactive; my role is to make observations and ask key questions to help you find your way. I believe in treating each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
I commend you for taking this important first step towards change and acceptance, it truly takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life. I am here to support and empower you to achieve your goals. I look forward to working with you!
