Psychologist and Therapist

As a registered psychologist specializing in ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for children, adolescents, and young adults, I am committed to providing highly specialized, engaging, and effective therapy. My practice is uniquely tailored to the needs of young individuals with ADHD and/or ASD, focusing on creating a supportive and dynamic environment that fosters strengths and individuality.

I am deeply understanding of the varied challenges faced by neurodiverse young people. I recognize that neurodiversity can significantly affect daily life, including academic performance, social interactions, self-esteem, and overall well-being. This is particularly true for those who may have experienced late diagnoses or misdiagnoses, often leading to additional challenges.

In my therapy sessions, I employ an active, strengths-based approach, emphasizing the unique qualities and potentials of each client. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where I work closely with my clients to explore their identities and life experiences comprehensively. This partnership is crucial in developing a personalized therapy plan that resonates with each individual's life philosophy, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey.

My approach is not only about addressing challenges but also about empowering young clients to embrace their uniqueness and strengths. By doing so, they can navigate life's obstacles and foster sustainable growth and self-fulfillment. I prioritize creating a safe and authentic space, where trust and openness form the foundation of our therapeutic relationship.

In addition to my focus on ADHD and ASD, I also provide psychology-informed career guidance for young adults. This includes support in identifying career paths, overcoming decision-making obstacles, and setting goals for professional development. This aspect of my practice is integrated with psychological support, helping young adults align their career choices with their personal values, strengths, and goals.

The therapeutic approaches that I draw upon include acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Schema therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution focused therapy (SFT). I am also trained in trauma-informed therapy and have completed further training and education on suicide and suicide prevention strategies.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
