Art Therapist and Therapist

Art Therapist and Therapist
Kelly is a Registered Art Therapist, Photo and Play Therapy Practitioner, Professional Photographer, Mental Health Radio Host, and Certified Forest Therapy Guide that has been offering creative therapies to those in need for over 17 years now. While the work she does is primarily art based, Kelly also incorporates play and photography into her therapeutic sessions and workshops as she believes they too are equally important creative outlets for enabling self-expression and self-awareness.
Each of the therapies (art, play and photo) have proven to offer several healing properties such as the ability to foster connection, adaptability, and a positive mindset and understanding for self. All of which help combat many of the concerns that today’s children are facing like self-esteem, confidence, mood regulation, anxiety, depression, anger, socialization, and trauma. However, the list of how these therapies can help goes on and on because both art and play itself are such innate processes! Kids and adults alike love to draw, play, and create, and thus the use of art and play in therapy only makes it easier for individuals to self-express themselves and their concerns without work or apprehension. Kelly is truly passionate and enthusiastic about the work she does.
