About the Counsellor:
I believe healing begins when people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Reaching out for counselling is a courageous first step, and my goal is to provide a warm, safe, and non‑judgemental space where you can explore challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
I am a mental health counsellor with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups across Australia and Canada. I provide online counselling services in Australia and Canada, and in‑person counselling in Calgary, Alberta. I understand how busy life can be, so I offer evening sessions to make accessing mental health support easier and more flexible. I also offer workshops and professional training in Australia and across Canada.
My practice is rooted in trauma‑informed, evidence‑based care, with a strong focus on creating safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful spaces for every person I work with. I’m deeply passionate about serving the community — including LGBTQ+ individuals, Indigenous peoples, new comers, international students and those facing barriers to accessing mental health care. I believe in honouring each person’s story, culture, identity, and lived experience, and I approach counselling with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
My approach blends collaborative goal‑setting, practical strategies, and reflective exploration. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to explore what’s beneath the surface — the unsaid, the unheard, and the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to silence. Together, we work at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you and building tools that support long‑term wellbeing. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence‑based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma‑informed practice.
My background includes work in healthcare, community mental health, addictions, domestic and family violence, and family justice systems. I have supported clients through organisations such as the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, 1800RESPECT, St Vincent’s Hospital, Waratah Private Hospital, Ramsay Health Care, Telus Health, and Homewood Health.
I hold a Master of Counselling and a Master of Clinical Psychology, and I have recently led and supervised child, youth, and family mental health services. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA‑CCC) and also registered member of the Australian Counselling Association & Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
Throughout my career, I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, addiction‑related concerns, family conflict, grief, workplace stress, major life transitions, and recovery from domestic and family violence.
I adore travelling, trying new foods, and whipping up amazing tiramisu, but what fills me most is counselling — getting to connect with people and walk alongside them as they grow.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhealthy patterns, navigating a difficult life transition, or seeking greater wellbeing, I am committed to helping you build resilience and create lasting change.
