About the Counsellor:

I am a mental health counsellor with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups across Australia and Canada. I provide online counselling services in Australia and Canada. I understand how busy life can be, so I offer evening sessions to make accessing mental health support easier and more flexible.

My practice is rooted in trauma‑informed, evidence‑based care, with a strong focus on creating safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful spaces for every person I work with. I’m deeply passionate about serving the community — including LGBTQ+ individuals, Indigenous peoples, new comers, international students and those facing barriers to accessing mental health care. I believe in honouring each person’s story, culture, identity, and lived experience, and I approach counselling with compassion, curiosity, and respect.

My approach blends collaborative goal‑setting, practical strategies, and reflective exploration. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to explore what’s beneath the surface — the unsaid, the unheard, and the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to silence. Together, we work at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you and building tools that support long‑term wellbeing. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence‑based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma‑informed practice.

My background includes work in healthcare, community mental health, addictions, domestic and family violence, and family justice systems. I have supported clients through organisations such as the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, 1800RESPECT, St Vincent’s Hospital, Waratah Private Hospital, Ramsay Health Care, Telus Health, and Homewood Health.

I hold a Master of Counselling and a Master of Clinical Psychology, and I have recently led and supervised child, youth, and family mental health services in Canada. I am also a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA‑CCC) and also I am a mental health counsellor with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups across Australia and Canada. I provide online counselling services in Australia and Canada, and in‑person counselling in Calgary, Alberta. I understand how busy life can be, so I offer evening sessions to make accessing mental health support easier and more flexible. I also offer workshops and professional training in Australia and across Canada.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
