Licensed Master Social Worker and Social Worker

Licensed Master Social Worker and Social Worker
Welcome. I'm Sharron Ferdinand, a Registered Social Worker providing virtual therapy to adults across Ontario. I believe therapy is more than talking through problems—it's about creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood without judgment. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, navigating a major life transition, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
I bring more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and mental health, helping individuals and families through complex medical, emotional, and psychosocial challenges. My work in hospital settings has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience people possess, even during life's most difficult moments. I understand that everyone's story is unique, and I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs, goals, and pace.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together, we'll build on your strengths while exploring patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based Therapy. I also provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that honours your lived experiences, values, and identity.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, grief and loss, caregiver stress, self-esteem concerns, cultural identity issues, and significant life transitions. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change that extends beyond our sessions.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am a Registered Social Worker in both Ontario. Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I'm honoured to walk alongside you on your journey toward greater well-being, resilience, and a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
