Art Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist and Therapist

Art Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist and Therapist
I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario. I hold both a Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy with additional training in psychotherapy and mental health. I have specialized training in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Music Therapy.
Music can be a powerful way to explore emotions, express things when words can be too much, develop coping resources, and connect with ourselves and others. Depending on your interests and therapeutic goals, music may be incorporated into therapy in a way that feels natural and comfortable for your specific needs and goals. This can include a variety of musical interventions, such as music listening and analysis, playlist building, collaborative songwriting, or musical improvisation. Previous musical experience is not required in order to benefit from music therapy!
My experience includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional distress, developmental and intellectual disabilities, neurological conditions, and complex medical needs. I have provided individual and group-based care in a variety of mental health units, neurorehabilitation, long-term care, community living, palliative care, and hospital settings.
My goal is to create a supportive environment that is tailored for you. Whether you are navigating a difficult period, feeling overwhelmed, working through emotional challenges, or simply interested in exploring music and emotions, I would be happy to work with you!
