Debby Merlin Sylvia is a Counselling Psychologist with an MSc in Counselling Psychology from Loyola College and a BSc in Psychology. She has experience working as a Student Counsellor in Greater Chennai Corporation schools under the Vazhi Kaati project through Chennai Counselors Foundation, providing psychological support, life-skills education, and emotional wellbeing interventions for children and adolescents.

 

Her training includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Art Therapy, and Dance Movement Therapy. She has also completed internships in educational and clinical settings, gaining experience in counselling, psychological assessment, and mental health support.

 

Debby works with adolescents and young adults facing emotional, behavioural, academic, interpersonal, and self-esteem concerns. Her therapeutic approach is empathetic, client-centred, and collaborative, focusing on creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and strengths while working toward meaningful personal growth and wellbeing.
