Counseling Psychologist, Counselor, Life Coach and Psychologist

Counseling Psychologist, Counselor, Life Coach and Psychologist
Completed MSc in Clinical Psychology from Manipal University, Jaipur, having qualified GATE with an All India Rank of 110 — a distinction that reflects both my academic rigour and deep commitment to the field of mental health. With hands-on clinical experience, a strong research background, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals on their path to psychological well-being, I am excited by the opportunity to contribute meaningfully in this role.
My clinical internship at the Psychiatric Department of SMS Hospital, Jaipur, gave me direct, supervised exposure to real-world counselling and mental health support. During this internship, I provided psychological support and psychoeducation to in-ward patients and the families of outpatients, helping them understand and cope with complex mental health conditions. I administered standardised psychometric assessments and conducted thorough Mental Status Examinations (MSE) to support diagnosis and care planning. I also facilitated daily cognitive coordination and mental health exercises aimed at promoting emotional well-being and preventing crisis escalation among inpatients, and observed and assisted in the implementation of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques during clinical sessions with psychiatric patients.
Alongside my clinical work, I have developed meaningful research experience directly relevant to counselling practice. I conducted a quantitative study on gender-based differences in the manifestation of psychotic symptoms during my SMS Hospital internship, and during my Master's programme, I am researching the relationship between digital media overuse, maladaptive perfectionism, and decision-making paralysis in Generation Z — a topic with direct implications for wellness coaching with young adults. I am proficient in applying DSM-5-TR criteria to differentiate between clinical and sub-clinical presentations, and experienced in using Jamovi for statistical analysis.
During my Bachelor's internship in hospital settings, I took comprehensive case histories, conducted structured patient interactions, and explored patient preferences between allopathic and homeopathic treatment modalities — deepening my ability to approach clients with cultural sensitivity and without judgment. My academic foundation in Community Psychology, Behavioural Psychology, and Crisis Intervention (Psychological First Aid) has further prepared me to work with diverse populations across varied wellness contexts.
As a wellness coach, I bring strong emotional intelligence, active listening, and an empathetic communication style that allows clients to feel safe and heard. I am trained in Psychological First Aid and have experience facilitating group wellness activities and psychoeducational sessions. My public speaking experience — including representing MUN delegations and compering large university events — has honed my ability to communicate complex psychological concepts in accessible, engaging ways, whether in one-on-one sessions or group workshops.
I am deeply committed to ethical, evidence-based practice and to building therapeutic relationships rooted in trust and respect. I would be honoured to bring my clinical training, research insight, and genuine care for people's mental wellness to your organisation. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your team.
