My name is Michelle Murray. I am very passionate about building strong therapeutic alliances with my clients to assist them in their journey from crisis or distress to a "life worth living". I have completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Health Services Degree in Counselling Psychology. I am certified with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) as a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I have been in the human services industry for 10 years in a variety of service related ways including as a social worker, a parole officer, and most recently as a counsellor. Primarily, I work with evidence based therapies such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). As a professional I offer an ethical approach promoting growth and problem-solving, whether it is with mental health concerns, relationship issues, career decisions, or life transitions.
