Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Therapist

(LMSW and MSW)

I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Co-Founder of Kindred Solace with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families across the mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) sectors. Throughout my career, I have worked collaboratively with consumers, their families, and service providers to enhance wellbeing and improve overall quality of life.

I have extensive experience working with trauma, complex PTSD, personality disorders, neurodivergence, maternal mental health, pain, addiction, and comorbidity. My practice is holistic and person-centred, recognising that each person’s story is shaped by their environment, experiences, and connections. I value understanding the whole person - their history, values, relationships, and strengths - to provide care that is meaningful and responsive.

In my therapeutic practice, I support people aged 16 and over, from all walks of life. I draw upon a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and somatic therapy. My work is grounded in attachment, empowerment-based approaches, trauma-informed practices, recovery-oriented frameworks, and feminist theory, ensuring that therapy is collaborative, validating, and affirming.

My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals feel seen, valued, and heard - a place to explore challenges with compassion and curiosity. I walk alongside people as they uncover barriers, develop self-understanding, and move toward healing and growth in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.

I am deeply passionate about women’s health, neurodivergence, and neuro-affirming practices, and bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work. Having personally navigated anxiety, ADHD, and birth trauma, I understand the complexities of being human and the courage it takes to seek support.

At Kindred Solace, I aim to embody our shared values of compassion, connection, solidarity, and comfort to create a space where healing is held with care, and no one has to walk their journey alone.

I stand with you.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
