Counseling Psychologist, Drug & Alcohol Counselor, Life Coach and Marriage & Family Therapist Intern

Counseling Psychologist, Drug & Alcohol Counselor, Life Coach and Marriage & Family Therapist Intern
I am a Counselling Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Psychology (Counselling Psychology) and a strong academic foundation in psychology and mental health. I completed my BA with a double major in Psychology and English Literature from Sophia College for Women, Mumbai, which has enriched my understanding of human behaviour, emotional expression, and communication.
I have hands-on experience through internships and professional roles in clinical, educational, and community settings. I have worked as a Psychology Intern at Gautam Hospital & Research Centre, where I conducted psychological assessments, assisted in treatment planning, and applied evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I have also been involved in research work related to anxiety and depression, and in maintaining clinical records and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
In addition, my experience as an Early Years Instructor at FirstCry Intellitots Preschool has strengthened my skills in emotional understanding, behavioural observation, and supportive communication, particularly with children and families. I have also worked as an NGO Intern with Green Tree Foundation, supporting underprivileged and disabled individuals, which has deepened my sensitivity toward social and emotional challenges across diverse populations.
My counselling approach is client-centred and integrative, focusing on creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns. I work collaboratively with clients to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, coping skills, and resilience. I believe in tailoring therapy according to individual needs, pace, and personal goals.
I currently offer online and in-person counselling sessions, and I am committed to ethical practice, continuous learning, and supporting clients in their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth.
