Art Therapist and Counselor

Art Therapist and Counselor
Hi, I’m Sydne — a cisgender, neurodivergent, queer, white Settler living and working on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ilwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations — also known as Vancouver, BC. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC, art therapist, and the founder of The Spiral Path Counselling Art Therapy.
I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology – Art Therapy from Adler University and have completed a 700-hour clinical practicum supporting adults healing from trauma and abuse, navigating life transitions, mental health challenges, and struggles with shame, self-worth, and navigating the impacts of systemic issues.
My practice is grounded in the belief that we each hold an innate wisdom and capacity for healing and growth. Through a trauma-informed, person-centered, and creative approach, I integrate talk therapy and art therapy in ways that invite curiosity, mindfulness, and self-compassion. Treatment is tailored to the individual needs and goals of the client, and no artistic experience is needed — artmaking is simply an optional way to explore and express your inner world.
As both an artist and therapist, I understand the healing power of creativity and connection — with ourselves, others, and the natural world. Outside of my work, I love dancing under the stars, reading, and sharing a great cup of coffee or tea with a friend.
I currently offer virtual sessions for adults seeking support with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-worth, relationships, or feeling stuck.
