Johnita McGee-Smith, MSW, LISW (Ohio), LCSW (Virginia), is a licensed clinical social worker, Christian counselor, and the founder of Grace to Grace Behavioral Health. With a commitment to integrating evidence-based practices and faith-informed care, she specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression while drawing on both clinical expertise and spiritual guidance.

 

Johnita earned her Master of Social Work from Cleveland State University and has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including those impacted by homelessness, incarceration, and systemic barriers. Her career includes direct clinical service, program development, and supervision of mental health professionals.

 

Through Grace to Grace Behavioral Health, she has expanded her practice across state lines, serving communities in both Ohio and Virginia. Her approach integrates trauma-informed, CBT, and psychodynamic techniques with culturally responsive and faith-based perspectives, ensuring clients feel safe, empowered, and supported in their healing journeys.
