Hi, I'm Celina Bongar, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), who is fluent in English and Tagalog and loves all things Disney. I earned my Master’s degree in counseling psychology from CalBaptist University. Dedicated to providing compassionate and effective mental health support, I specialize in working with individuals and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions.

 

My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. I’ve cultivated proficiency in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, faith based approach, and solution-focused therapy. I believe in creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly.

 

My passion lies in helping clients develop coping strategies, build resilience, and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves. Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.
