Counseling Psychologist, Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist and Therapist

(MA)

Hello! I hold a masters in Counselling Psychology from Montfort Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore (accredited with Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong). As a dedicated therapist with a client-centred approach, I believe in the inherent capacity of individuals to thrive when provided with the right support and a safe environment. My practice is rooted in an eclectic approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities including Person-Centred Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma-focused and Mindfulness based approaches.

In our therapeutic journey together, I prioritize meeting you halfway, respecting your pace and comfort level in the recovery process. My aim is to provide non-judgmental, collaborative, and empathetic support while tailoring therapy to your specific needs. I acknowledge that you are the expert of your own life experiences, and I am here to help you develop and harness your inner strengths to make informed choices. During our sessions, I integrate strategies from various modalities to address your unique concerns comprehensively. I strive to understand all factors contributing to your experiences – personal, social, cultural and childhood experiences – to help you make sense of your journey.

My experience spans working with young adults and adults on a variety of concerns, including: Relationship issues, Family dynamics, Childhood trauma, Academic challenges, Existential anxiety, Self-esteem building, Emotional regulation. Remember, therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I am committed to customizing our sessions to what works best for you. My cross-cultural sensitivity ensures that clients from all backgrounds feel understood and valued.

Beyond individual therapy, I am passionate about mental health awareness and advocacy, aiming to reduce stigma and encourage more people to seek support when needed. Outside of my professional life, I am a curious soul who dreams of travel and world cuisines. I enjoy painting, music, teaching, cooking, and connecting with nature. For me, self-care often means curling up with a good book and a hot cup of chai.

Let's work together to navigate your mental health journey, fostering growth, resilience, and well-being along the way.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
