PROFILE

Dr Rekha Das Adhikari is a consultant Psychotherapist and ‘Life skills’ coach. Who has been helping people from all age groups (Infants to geriatrics) and walks of life since the year 2000.

 She holds a Doctorate degree in clinical psychology from M.S. University, Baroda. As a requirement of partial fulfillment of her Doctoral research she has developed a therapeutic technique by combining ‘Yoga-nidra’ and ‘Bio-feedback’, to heal functional medical conditions.

 Specialization during her Post Graduation is in “Physiological Psychology” and “Guidance & Counseling”.

 Trained in use of BSID (Bayley’s Scale for Infant Development – Baroda Norms) and later on DASII (Developmental Assessment Scales for Indian Infants) by Dr. Pramila Phatak from the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Faculty of Home Science, M.S. University, Baroda.

 Apart from conducting development assessment she is one of the pioneering psychologists in India to Develop and implement early intervention programs on high rick neonates.

 Undergone training on use of statistical techniques in social science research; from National Institute of Public Cooperation And Child Development, (New Delhi).

 A certified Dermatoglyphics consultant.

 She has undergone Yoga Teacher’s Training Course conducted by Sir Sayajirao Institute of Research in Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Music & Allied Sciences (Baroda).

 She is well versed in various psycho-spiritual healing techniques. Has been conducting regularly programs on Stress Management and other workshops related to human potential development for individuals and organizations.

 She also visits Management institutes as a visiting faculty and renders lectures in topics related to Human potential development.

Dr Rekha’s approach towards helping people is 100% client centered /Non directive psychotherapeutic approach. She believes in teaching people how to fish rather than distributing fish.
