I am Srividya R N from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. I have graduated from Shri Dharmsthala Manjunatheshwara College an dpost graduate centre, Ujire, Mangalore. Competed Masters Program with a degree in Clinical & counselling Psychology in 2017. Currently I have 6 years of experience at NIMHANS, Bengaluru under the Government of Karnataka funded project "Life Skills training and counselling services program" as Project Coordinator.

I have approximately 350” hours of clinical training & practice which includes assessing the patient, history taking and counselling, relaxation therapy, Specific Learning Disability training. In addition, I have been introduced to Supportive therapy, Behaviour therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, ACT, guided imagery, career counselling at various places such as Spandana hospitals, Bengaluru, Father Muller hospital, Mangalore, C R Chandrashekar Speech & Hearing school for intellectual disability, Bengaluru & Indira Ghandi Children Hospital Bengaluru.

My coursework and experience have prepared me for my career working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric age group. In the exposure to clinical training I have been assigned to patients with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, Adjustment disorder, Special Learning Disability, Autism, Mental Retardation to name a few. I have worked under Dr. Preeti, Psychiatrist, as an intern trainee at Spandana Nursing home, Bangalore & Dr Supriya Hegde, Psychiatrist as an clinical posting trainee at Father Muller Hospital, Mangalore. With such a robust background, I have provided guidance and counselling services to more than 800 people who needed mental health services under the program Yuva Spandana, A mental health promotion (strengthening)program in the state of Karnataka.

I have more than 6 years of experience in Life skills training and counselling sevices through which I have 7 published scientific papers in national and international journals & 3 manuals published

In addition to my strong theoretical background and clinical exposure, I also possess a decent amount of patience, trustworthiness, ethics, communication skills, active listening skills and respect for patient confidentiality.
