Warm greetings to everyone reading!

I’ll begin with a small introduction about myself. I am Shruti. I’ve worked in various fields related to psychology for a decade now. Teaching in colleges, creating and delivering mental health related training content, research and have over 6 years of experience providing mental health therapy to individuals belonging to all age groups.

My approach to mental health is holistic and believe that one size doesn’t fit all! Every individual is unique and the therapeutic process needs to cater to the goals and needs of the client. My therapy ideology leans towards the client centered approach and I make use of an eclectic approach while interacting with my clients. My clients are active participants in their journey to better mental health and thus have more agency.

I do understand therapy isn’t easy and sometimes it might feel better to quit than to endure the emotional labour one has to perform. But I’ve found that in the long run, individuals definitely benefit from therapy and are able to lead healthier lives.

My practice focuses on trauma-informed care and is LGBTQIA+ friendly. Some of the areas that I have worked with my clients in are – exam and career stress, relationship discord, self-worth/esteem/image concerns, adjustment issues & coping skills, motivation, stress, grief, women’s issues, domestic abuse.

 

As scary and intimidating therapy might seem, I’ll do my best to make it as easy, approachable and effective as possible. I promise to be committed to your well-being, and ask the same of you.
