An experienced and trained Mental health doctor, specializing in working with patients of Depression, PTSD, Drug-abuse, Domestic violence, Psychotic disorders as well as motivational therapies for Diabetes, Hypertension and promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Trained in advanced treatment of mental health diseases from Royal college of Psychiatry London.

After floods my house was razed to the ground, yet immediately after floods I treated patients in 37 plus medical camps. During the Swine flu scare and now Coronavirus, I have volunteered my expertise and services

Trained 500 plus Anganwari workers and school teachers in identifying key symptoms of Depression, Diabetes, Hypertension,   HIV/AIDS, Anxiety, Childhood disorders, and postpartum blues.

I also taught as a tutor to 8 batches of students pursuing studies from University of Kashmir

Summary

In my 18 years of working experience I have specialized as a medical doctor working in the field of mental health in Jammu Kashmir.

My work in Kashmir over the years has brought me face to face with the reality and need to support people negotiating their lives in and after the trauma, causes and preventive measures of major mental health disorders. I believe in a holistic approach of healing and have been trying to achieve that with my work and knowledge of life sciences. Although I studied medicine but due to my passion for helping people with mental health disorders I have completed many courses on counselling,Yoga from recognized Universities of our country and abroad.
