Introduction:

Hello, I’m Dhyani Bhavsar (she/her), an empathetic and a non-judgmental counselling psychologist dedicated to bringing out the best from individuals to live to their highest potential. From pieces to peace, I am passionate about seeing my clients thrive in their emotional and mental health journey. I am a LGBTQIA+ friendly psychologist.

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

I have 4 years of experience in the field, I hold a degree in Counselling Psychology from SNDT University, Mumbai. I have published various research studies in the field of mental health as well as held seminars and workshops creating advocacy to destigmatize mental health. My ongoing commitment to professional development ensures that I stay abreast of the latest research and therapeutic techniques to provide the highest standard of care to my clients with various needs.

I specialize in areas of:

1. Adolescent Counselling: Developmental issues in children as well as behavioral problems, learning disabilities, career related issues and family dynamics. Along with self-image issues.

2. Health Psychology: The interconnection between psychological factors and physical health such as coping with chronic illness, pain management, and health behavior change. Focusing on with depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders and mood disorders.

3. Industrial-Organizational Psychology: Workplace issues such as employee motivation and satisfaction. Organizational development and leadership training.

4. Trauma and Crisis Intervention: Providing support for individuals who have experienced trauma. Crisis intervention and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment and management.

5. Sexuality & Gender Identity: Counseling individuals struggling through their sexual and gender identity. Providing psychoeducation on issues related to sexual health. Addressing sexual dysfunction and relationship concerns.

6. Geriatric Psychology: Addressing mental health concerns in older adults. Cognitive assessments, dementia care, and end-of-life issues. As well as bereavement counselling.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Eclectic Modal which allows me to combine the strengths of different approaches while avoiding the limitations of strictly adhering to one model with an emphasis on fostering self-awareness, resilience, and empowering individuals to make positive changes in their lives.
