Visualize Calm - Nature Teaches Lessons
How often do you get to hear this, from others or yourself - "I need my peace of mind". In the name of peace, many times, we either conduct ourselves in certain ways or withdraw from certain events. However, we need a balanced state, which comes from the path of reminding ourselves of the Peace that is already ours.
" But you do not know what I run through. My partner is distant and has to be constantly instructed on things; my daughter never listens to what I say; my Manager hears me out only if it suits his purpose" and so on. And so we often get caught up in the drama of restoring peace. Very often, peace is at the cost of someone. It needn't be that way. Peace is a concept we are born with. However, as we become adults, we look forward to having a peaceful night's sleep. Is that all there is to us? Well, if we carefully observe Nature, there is plenty to understand and reinforce for ourselves. Nature shows the way.
There is a blending of colours and shades, sizes and textures, habitats and dwellings, and nourishment systems in place. Nature has a unique combination of events in all spheres - earth, land, and water. Let's look at some features ever-present:
- Observe the waves on a creek or a beach. There is a coordination of ebb and flow; some waves move in different directions. This movement is a reflection of the synchronization that the waves can hold and maintain, giving a picture of respectful coordination and valuing diversity.
- Observe birds making their calling sounds in a bid to reach out to their peers. And at a given time, different bird species would be doing likewise. Listen to their calling and one gets a sense of cooperation and the need to bond and belong.
- Specific species in the wild camouflage for their survival and thriving; their colours blend with the rich colours of their habitat; a takeaway on persistence with adaptation, no matter what the condition.
Whether plants or animals, they vibrate energies that do not require the use of language and/or explanations. Of course, what they do not possess is the sense of reasoning out experiences staying stuck to the past or being concerned about their future. They do not spend hours repenting, or years full of remorse for something they could manage.
We, humans, pride ourselves on our accomplishments, all thanks to our higher cognitive states to discern and comprehend. But when it comes to an area of Peace, we are left clueless. The inherent nature of our being is peace, yet so many of us find it difficult to sit alone with ourselves. What happens, where are the gaps?
The energies of nature are in complete harmony with all that is...a state of contentment with all that is. ACCEPTANCE ( of self and others) + ALLOWING (of self and others) = CONTENTMENT (through a balance of what gets accepted and allowed). Where there is contentment, there is peace. The sun rising in one direction and setting in another as a daily ritual of nature creates beauty in the process. ALLOW YOUR CORE TO SHINE like the glowing Sun, while you are on mundane tasks and look forward to moving in synchrony, cooperation, bonding, persistence to adapt, and value diversity always.
