About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered counsellor offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore the challenges you are facing at your own pace. My practice is rooted in a humanistic integrative approach, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic models to meet your individual needs, while holding at the centre the belief that you have the capacity for growth, healing and change.

I have experience working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, women who have experienced domestic abuse, and healthcare staff facing the pressures of working in demanding environments. I also work with clients navigating issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss and the impact of trauma.

Practice description

Many people carry painful feelings of shame, low self-worth, or find themselves coping through self-harm. These struggles can feel heavy, isolating, and difficult to talk about. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share your experiences openly and feel truly heard. I specialise in helping clients explore these painful emotions in a safe and supportive space, at a pace that feels right for you.

Therapy with me is not about quick fixes or forcing change before you’re ready. Instead, together, at a pace that works for you, we can gently explore the patterns that hold you back, discover healthier ways to cope, and begin to build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Taking the step to seek therapy can feel daunting, especially when shame or self-doubt says you don’t deserve support. You are not alone. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where every part of you is welcome, and where healing, hope, and change are possible at your own pace

My first session

The first initial consultation is a free 15-20 minute phone call, during which we can explore your needs for therapy and you can get a sense of whether I am the right therapist for you.

I offer weekly therapy with regular timeslots.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
