Throughout our lives, we encounter numerous life phases where the various “labels” we once held are no longer consistent with who we truly are. Life transitions come quickly, and we can feel left behind. Through no fault of our own, we then begin solidifying maladaptive patterns to react to our rapidly changing environment. Over time, this results in us living a life that fails to accurately represent who we truly are inside.

I help people who are struggling to navigate their self-identity in relation to their culture, gender, neurodivergence, career, and mental health. I also help first responders and healthcare workers who suffer from occupational burnout and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

In therapy, we’ll start by understanding your unique needs and circumstances. Proven clinical modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy will then be used to reconfigure maladaptive patterns into sustainable resolutions for you.

In addition, we can explore your past to gain greater awareness on how it affects your present circumstances. By better knowing who we are, addressing our needs becomes a lot more manageable. To some, exploring the past may look like exploring your unique cultural identity and how that has affected your upbringing. To others, it may be about how society has pressured you to act “normal” based on unfair standards imposed onto you since childhood. Together, we can begin unraveling these internalized harmful messages, making your life easier to navigate.

The space where therapy is conducted will be culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and at your pace. You will be guided with intentionality to create a unique roadmap that addresses your ongoing and historical challenges. Regular check-ins for progress updates will help us remain on the same page, ensuring that your time in therapy results in consistent and tangible improvements.

Alongside my ongoing Master of Social Work studies at the University of Toronto, I have experience providing mental health support to individuals experiencing mental health crises and battling problematic sexual behaviours. Furthermore, I have previously helped families recover from the aftermath of wildfire events in British Columbia. Finally, as a student therapist, my practice will maintain a high duty of care via regular check-ins with my clinical supervisor.

As your therapist, my goal is to help you live life your way. Together, we can begin implementing your unique roadmap that allows you to live a healthy life. Book a free video consultation with me today, and we can take the first step towards your mental health together.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
