Counseling Psychologist
First, my apologies. I didn't have a better picture than this one with a super cool outlook in sunglasses. Truth is, I didn't have any other :D. In any case, I think it reflects a bit of my attitude towards psychotherapy. First of all, I listen to my patients and take my time. What they have to say, their problems. And I've seen many and had a few myself — but that's ok, it helps me better understand the other side. I also want to know your background, what happened to you, your family, your friends, your job. But I try not to stay in the problem for long. Eventually, we will have to roll up our sleeves and get to work. I want to know your aspirations, your strengths — even if you feel you don't have many, believe me, I will find them. I consider myself to have a generous and appreciative view of people.
And now for the technical part. My initial training was as a psychologist, specialized in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). But I am aware that one size does not fit all. I am curious, and I do my homework. I try my best to stay updated with the latest research in the field to (hopefully) make me a better professional. These tools may or may not suit you. You pave the way, and I'll go along, supporting and rooting for you. Your success is my success. You don't have to do this alone — I’m here with you.
